Judy Garland rose to an iconic level as a musical and dramatic performer. She first performed in vaudeville acts, before she was summoned by MGM to audition. She landed her first contract in 1935, and her first leading role in Thoroughbreds Don’t Cry (1937). After that she became a teen starlet, winning the role in the career-defining musical, The Wizard of Oz (1939). Judy Garland went on to make A Star is Born (1942) and Annie Get Your Gun (1950) before settling as a musical performer. Judy Garland movies are available on DVD and Blu-ray.
